Eduardo Contreras is an industrial engineer from the University of Chile, with an MBA from ESADE, Barcelona and a Ph.D. in Business Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He is Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile and was the Academic Director of the Master in Management and Public Policies of the same University, and of various Executive Education Courses. His area of specialization is Finance and, specifically, Private and Social Project Evaluation. He has consulted with companies, public organizations and international organizations such as ECLAC (Ilpes) and the International Development Bank (IDB). He is the author of a large number of publications, among them the books in Spanish language: “Methodological Manual of Multicriteria Evaluation for Programs and Projects”; “Project Design and Evaluation: An Integrated Approach”; “Social evaluation of public investments: alternative approaches and their applicability for Latin America”, “Evaluation of investments under uncertainty: theory and applications to projects in Chile” and “Conceptual elements and applications of microeconomics for the evaluation of projects”.
