1) By plane: Sky Airline and Lan Chile have frequent flights Santiago-Puerto Montt. Travel Time: 1:30 hrs. Tepual airport (P. Montt) is 20 km far from Puerto Varas, half an hour by taxi (cost: between U$D 20 and U$D 30).

There are collective taxis from Puerto Montt downtown to Puerto Varas for U$D 2.

2) By Bus: There are several bus companies, like Tur Bus. Costs: Classic: U$D 18; Executive: U$D 36 and Premium: U$D 52. Travel time: 12 hours. There are night services.

There is a service for groups of 4 to 7 people (cost: U$D 7, or 3.500 chilean pesos) that must be asked in advance.

Particular services for one passenger from the airport to Puerto Varas (Hotel Cabañas del Lago) have a cost of U$D 24, or 12.000 chilean pesos.
